I pushed myself to do all homework, even though it isn't do till next week.

Volunteered at a homeless meal shelter, glad we could help, and feel really good about what we did

Love the post below. I went on hike today and found a 2 gallon jug on the trail. So i picked it up and then filled it up with more trash people just left on the side of the trail. Its sad that people will enjoy the trail, but then trash it with littering.

On my run last week I brought a trash bag and picked up trash around the way. Why just run when you can also clean up the world.

Pushing my mind intellectually, I have read 2 books in the last month. Happy about that, can't just focus on my physical health, need to focus on the intellectual health.

Today I went to the grocery store and returned the bottles form the BBQ (see below). I got $10, I bought a sub and gave it to the homeless guy outside the store. He appreciated it.

I have been tracking my calories for 10 days space, and its amazing how much junk I have been eating. No wonder I have been gaining unhealthy weight. I’m pushing myself to eat better.

I was at a BBQ and went through all the garbage bins to collect all the cans so I could recycle them. Just trying to make a difference.

Socially
I was at Subway and had a coupon for a buy one, get one free footlong. So I told the guy behind me that I would happily use my coupon to get him a free sub. He was taken back, but was appreciative. Have a great day.

Been trying to get fit, so today instead of hitting snooze I went over the the park and ran some sprints. I feel better and feel like I have more energy now at work. Guss

I know I have to be nicer to my mom, so I have a push yourself band as a nice reminder to DTRT. #DoTheRightThing. ;)

Prepping my garden so I can eat what I grow and waste less. Garden to plate, perfect idea!

Physically
I'm 3 months into my new life of health and fitness and I feel great. Really focusing on eating, exercising and sleeping. Sleep has been the most important part of my "push". AS

I do believe I push myself to make the world a better place daily. Today I decide to post a social/ environmental post. I was at the mall getting a Philly Chicken sandwich, the person ahead of me had dropped their sandwich and was waiting for a new one to be made. He walked away and left his mess. I picked it up and threw it out and asked the workers if they had a rag and I wiped the remains DTRT

I was on vacation and we seeing the sites. Then I thought about how great it would be to see the sites as I ran through the city. Double push, educate the mind as I work out! It was great, glad I did it. Love to py

I usually watch mindless TV while I work out, but today I turned on the news and got caught up (or should I say learned) about the political race going on. Yesterday I watched the discovery channel. It was great to learn and exercise!

I'm happy about my 1st ever post. I just learned about PY this weekend and it hit me today as I walked into work. I noticed some trash, and picked it up instead of walking by it like many others ;) PY to Do The Right Thing. Mikie D

No TV this week, need to work out my brain and read some books. Time to Push myself intellectually!

Had some humble pie at morning basketball. So I went into the gym to work out to get an extra workout in.

Last week I did 25 stright pull ups. My friend said I beat if you pushed yourself you could have done 26. Today I did 26, thanks for the motivation SL. 25H Fitness Rocks.

The school i work at has a competition between all the grades K-5, to see who can run the most laps in a 2 week span. The past 2 yrs the 4th graders have won, beating out the 5th graders. Ironically it's my second year introducing the 4th graders to PY. Coincidence?...I think not! Great job! Miss L

I have been going out of my way, pushing myself, to be kind to my coworkers. Sometimes I forget about my tone and wearing my PY Band has been a great reminder that I need to play my part to make others days better, not worse.

I'm what people call addicted to my phone. However, to show my love and give my wife full attention I leave my phone in the car when I go on "date nights" with my wife. Its the right thing to do. CG

I'm in a good groove working out and eating healthy. I feel great and have been sleeping even better. So glad I met Scott and he gave me his PY band as a reminder.

I cleaned the yard and the house for my wife and then went over to my moms to help her with her yard. She has done so much for me, I'm happy to help her.

Been giving free tennis lessons to my neighbors to teach them the sport I love. I consider this a social push. DF

I noticed a lot of my coworkers (and myself) were throwing away many recyclable items at work. So I went through the garbage and pulled out all the recyclables. Then, we as a staff set up a box for recyclables. Pushing ourselves environmentally at work. Dewey Family Practice.

Physically
I have lost 3 pounds this month by eating healthy and exercising. It haven't' been easy, I guess that's why I need to push myself.

I love and appreciate my wife, just sometimes I don't tell her enough. I wrote her a note and got her flowers just because.

My friend has been struggling with his diet, so I made him some home made healthy meals the last 3 days. He loved them and appreciated my help! It made me eat better as well. JG I got your back.

My o my, I had a great PY morning. I got up before 5am (even though I didn't want to get out of my warm bed), played basketball and then worked out so I could spend time with my wife and baby after work!

30 day abs challenge....DONE! Thanks PY band for the motivation!

I pushed myself and studied for the SAT 4 days a week after school. It wasn't easy, it was the last thing I wanted to do when my friends were having fun. It was worth it, my SAT jumped up 220 points!!!!!!!!!

Environmentally
Went through my parent’s garbage and took out all the recyclables. I told my mom to PUSH HERSELF! for the environment. I made a little area were we can no put our recyclables! PY for the environment!

Socially
Was sitting home in my warm house and as I looked out the window I saw my neighbor struggling to get out of the driveway (stuck in the snow). I pushed myself, and pushed him out!

Physically
I have worked out 9 out of the last 11 days and I have really been eating well. I feel great and hope I can keep it up.

Intellectually
I have been starting my HW right after school instead of waiting all day, wasting my time. Now I get my HW done, and then relax!

Physically
I had a great push yourself day. Had a little time before my meeting after church so I went to the gym with my GF. We did an interval workout on while playing on the ball machine. She would hit and I would lift, then we switched. After that I got on the treadmill and she did the same. It was a great workout.

Intellectually
I have been reading every night instead of watching TV. PY Intellectually. Ray B

Social, physical and envionrmental post today. Picked up a friend (his car died) to carpool to work (save gas). We got there early so we could work out a bit (physical). No I just need to hit the intellectual post today for a full PY Day.

My school is having a ball this weekend. a lot of the girls wanted to go but couldn't afford both the ticket and the dress. So many of my friends and their friends really pushed themselves and donated dresses. We ended up with over 50 for girls to choose from and they were so excited. Thanks everyone for pushing yourself to make a young girl feel special!!!DD

Environmental posts. Went paperless on my Time Warner Cable bill. Had to search a bit to find it, was about to give up, but finally found it. Felt good about helping the environment. RG

At the hospital visiting a friend, and they wanted to play cards. The hospital staff didn't have and decks to share, so my wife went down to the gift shop and bought 5 decks and donated them to the hospital. She rocks!

I did it. I completed my goal for 2013. Each month I bought a strangers meal. Feeling good, living that good life!

Physically
Monday morning, gym at 6 am (Basketball, weights, abs) plus 1.5 hours of tennis at night = great DAY. Tues morning, slept in which meant I didn’t get to the gym and my day was thrown off, couldn’t get to the gym at night = awful day. Wed morning, learned my lesson from Tues and got out of bed for my am workout = great DAY! Living the PY Life = everything is better.

Intellectually
My goal is to read 8 books this year. 1 down already. #PY2Read

Physically
I made a home gym in my spare bedroom. Now I can push myself whenever I want! I hope it will last, so far so good.

I have been learning and new sport to help stay in shape, I'm not good at it, but I'm trying!

We are getting a lot of snow where I live. The last 2 days I helped shovel my neighbors driveway, and the lady across the streets side walk just to be nice. They were really appreciative and gave me a gift certificate

I loved the last post, it inspired me to pay for a strangers breakfast at my favorite diner yesterday. DTRT

Today, I drove to the opposite of town to deliver a book for a friend who was in need of a great book. He was extremely busy due to his upcoming nuptials, so I did what any good friend would do....PY4DTRT!

Instead of watching TV at night, I have been pushing it intellectually and reading a new book. I have noticed that it helps me relax and I have been sleeping much better! DS

Yesterday I was so tired after work, but I needed to get to the gym and get my workout in. I’m so glad I did, bc my crappy day turned better after working out! Vinny

What should I post?


Changing the world may seem like a daunting task. However, every one doing a little good = a lot of good. Remember: Push Yourself is the act of stepping outside of your comfort zone to stir and cultivate a movement that changes the world.

"So, what can I post about? How can I make a difference?"

It can be as simple as picking up some trash on your way into the store or work. Here are some examples of simple to extreme posts in each of the Four Push Yourself Pillars. You can post simple to extreme and everything in between. Every positive action is post-worthy and every post holds others accountable.

Park further away in the parking lot to get some extra steps in your day Climb Mount Everest
 
INTELLECTUALLY
Try a crossword puzzle to strengthen your mind Learn a new language
