My friend gave me a push yourself band and told me about DTRT (do the right thing). I love this concept, it has made me a better person. Seeing it on my wrist is a constant reminder to be better. Ad

I am not good at getting good score on quizzes/tests but I wanted to get good score to improve so I always ask my teachers to intercept the question for me when I feel that I am unsure with picking the right answer for the question. _MS

I have been studying for ACT all weekend, but I did take some time off to go and celebrate thanksgiving with my family, and to go to a birthday party, but other than that, I have been studying a lot, but I still managed to do my hw, so I guess I'm doing the health triangle... DM

My school group is selling raffle tickets for our last fundraiser to go to France/England and I had 50 tickets to sell but I push my self to sell the tickets with my big smile! So far, I only have 6 tickets left but I took other 50 tickets to keep it up! I can do it! MS

I been archiving my goal to lose some weight and this weekend is Thanksgiving that it will be the weekend of huge feast. But I will push my self to not eat too much then work out to keep my weight stable.

I brought a ACT book and flashcards for the test in December instead of joining the varsity basketball girl team that is barely enough players. I push my self to focus on my education first before sports. MS

I bought an ACT study book this weekend and started studying for the dreaded (to me) ACT test. It doesn't seem too bad, but I'm kinda nervous still.

My sister made me quite mad this weekend, but I still managed to restrain myself, knowing she has quite the problem. I love her to death, but she sure makes me mad. DM

Proud of a 4th grader whose school was celebrating red ribbon week. He was asked by a boy in his class to sign a sheet that said "Say no to drugs, but yes to alcohol." Two other boys signed it, but he told them, "No, it's not the right thing to do; it's bad for you and it's against the law!!" Love that 4th grader.

Physically
Sunday I decided to run for a while with my friend, and it was awesome, I really enjoyed it and I'm happy I did it.

Socially
Today I pushed myself to the limits as I washed the bodies of 5 mentally handicapped children who smelled profusely and of straight neglect. I feel better as a human that someone took care of their hygenic needs.

Environmentally
Carpooled to work today. It was my way of pushing myself environmentally. I also got to spend some quality time with my co-workers that I don't usually get.

Physically
3 days in a row I have ran in the AM before work. If you know me, that is a huge push!

Intellectually
I decided to complete all of my hw that was due tomorrow, last night, it took up a lot of my time, but it was worth it because now I have less to do tonight.

Here is my environmental post! I have been car pooling to work with my neighbor. Save gas and become closer to your co-workers!

The morning is an easy time to sleep in, but I have been getting up early to JOIN my wife on her morning walks. It is nice to spend time together and catch up from our busy lives. PY to make time for the ones you love!

Intellectually
I have been reading every night instead o watching TV. It seems to help me relax and fall asleep easier.

Last night at game, It was furious for me that I couldn't try to keep thinking positive to not affect all my team's attitude but I must push my self to think postively. Thank to my team for reminding me that I can do it and I will!

I was at Subway and had a coupon for a buy one, get one free footlong. So I told the guy behind me that I would happily use my coupon to get him a free sub. He was taken back, but was appreciative. Have a great day.

Physically
Been trying to get fit, so today instead of hitting snooze I went over the the park and ran some sprints. I feel better and feel like I have more energy now at work. Guss

Played tennis after work, mowed the lawn and had dinner ready for my wife when she came home from work. It was a productive day!

today I 'won' a free donut from the corner drive through, I said 'thank you--however, please give the free donut to the car behind me' PUSH MYSELF twice, one by holding onto my 'diet'; two giving the driver behind me surprise ---a free donut.

This is a spirital post--- each morning before I leave for the day, I stop, pull up a chair by the window and open the Bible --- I read just a few verses each day --- It gives me a wonderful boost.

When ever I borrow someone car for a few days or even one day-- I always take the time to do an 'extreme' cleanup - vacumn, wash the car and polish up the interior. Push yourself, so the next person will do the same !

Was in line at a very expensive store and the women cashier was 'lightly RUDE'--- I knew she was and so did the person checking out---Just after she turned around from the clerk, I took off my PushYourself bracelet and softly said "Here, wear this, you kept your cool, while someone was rude to you "

First day back to work in 9 days, could have slept in and milked the morning, but instead, pushed myself to wake up early (5:30am), stumbled out of bed, threw some water in my face and off to the RAC I went to get 40 minutes on the Arc Trainer. Gotta keep pushing myself to reach my goal! SAL

I was walking around the mall yesterday and it was really busy due to President's week. Near the food court a poor dad of 5 small kids was trying to clean up ice cream that his child had spilled. Instead of walking around him like so many people did, I got down and helped him wipe it up. He was very thankful. PY to be aware of opportunities to help others!

I saw the post of the day yesterday, and I hate to admit it, I was the one how "didn't see" the trash, it made me a bit guilty so I made sure I picked up trash on the way into work today. I must have looked weird in my dress close picking up garbage, but you got to PUSH YOURSELF!

First day on break from class. Instead of sleeping in, I decided to push myself to keep the weekly regimen going strong, and woke up at 7am to hit the Arc Trainer at the RAC! No regrets! P90x2 later tonight! Still pushin strong! -SAL

I spent the weekend in Nags Head, NC on a field trip for my Vertebrate Zoology class (Hollins University). In the mornings a few of us would get up and run on the beach to watch the sun rise then make the polar plunge into the ocean! We pushed ourselves to get up earlier than the sun and even more so to take a quick dip in the ocean! Everyone that slept in missed the beautiful sun rises! :) SK

I was in a difficult situation at 3am where I ended up getting stranded without my keys and debit card. I met a very nice couple who saw I was in a tough situation. They gave me a ride and let me sleep on their futon. Caring about everyone is what will change the world. To that couple: Thank you for taking a risk and for pushing yourself to make someone’s life better. I will pay it forward.

The school i work at has a competition between all the grades K-5, to see who can run the most laps in a 2 week span. The past 2 yrs the 4th graders have won, beating out the 5th graders. Ironically it's my second year introducing the 4th graders to PY. Coincidence?...I think not! Great job! Miss L

I have been going out of my way, pushing myself, to be kind to my coworkers. Sometimes I forget about my tone and wearing my PY Band has been a great reminder that I need to play my part to make others days better, not worse.

On Tuesday night, I was very busy and I can't do all my homework.. I went to Syr for basketball game. I returned about 10pm. I hate to wake up early morning to do my homework and I don't feel like do it. But I realized, all of my homework are most due on Wednesday. I pushed myself to wake up at 6am to do my homework. I don't want my grades decreasing. My SMART goal is going be on Honor Roll. -AH

Yesterday I did 30 min of cardio, this morning I did 30 min a weights, and I'm committing to an hour of cardio today after work. WISH ME LUCK

At school, we had an academic bowl mock match with BOCES. I knew our school would provide wings and pizza, but I wanted to push myself in regards to nutrition and packed grilled chicken with whole wheat coucous. Even though a lot of pizza and wings were left and calling my name, I pushed myself and didn't cave. Going to pop in Back and Base DVD and get'er done! Still pushing myself! - SAL

Left work a bit early to get my GF some flowers and candy for V-Day. I wrote her a nice card and put it out for her to see when she got home from work. Then I snuck to the gym for 45 min of cardio. Recently, I have a health food. On friday, I got subway it's so delicious then I got a little snack. Next day, I got turkey sandwich which that my dad made the turkey sandwich. It's good. When I made the goal about I want to break RSD record for a mile time. Last weekend I went to RIT and work out on weights then I saw the machine for running. I have go there because I want to work hard and successful. So I ran 15 minutes and I like it. I was felt good after did that. TA

Alarm clock usually goes off at 5:30am to hit Gold's. This morning it didn't go off. My wife's went off at 6:30. Most people would just shower and go to work, but I pushed myself, ran out of the house, went to Gold's, did 40 minutes on the Arc Trainer and made it to work on time. Best decision ever! SAL

Played some pickleball at the YMCA today. Then was challenged to some basketball and I couldn't back down. It was a fun impromto day at the why and I loved it. PH

I had a great push yourself day. Had a little time before my meeting after church so I went to the gym with my GF. We did an interval workout on while playing on the ball machine. She would hit and I would lift, then we switched. After that I got on the treadmill and she did the same. It was a great workout.

Met my family out at a stake dinner to benefit the VFW. Glad I could spend time with them and help a great cause. RD

On my way into the store, I saw an elederly man's car stuck in the snow. I pushed myself to help him out, more like pushed him and his car out!

My school is having a ball this weekend. a lot of the girls wanted to go but couldn't afford both the ticket and the dress. So many of my friends and their friends really pushed themselves and donated dresses. We ended up with over 50 for girls to choose from and they were so excited. Thanks everyone for pushing yourself to make a young girl feel special!!!DD

Environmental posts. Went paperless on my Time Warner Cable bill. Had to search a bit to find it, was about to give up, but finally found it. Felt good about helping the environment. RG

Monday morning, gym at 6 am (Basketball, weights, abs) plus 1.5 hours of tennis at night = great DAY. Tues morning, slept in which meant I didn’t get to the gym and my day was thrown off, couldn’t get to the gym at night = awful day. Wed morning, learned my lesson from Tues and got out of bed for my am workout = great DAY! Living the PY Life = everything is better.

I have been teaching my 4th graders some different yoga moves to help them focus and relax. They are loving it! My principal walked by as we were doing the tree pose and was excited to see them all so engaged! SL

I sat through multiple meetings today. It's very easy to lose focus and get off task and complain about things that are not in your control. I know I've been guilty of doing that, but today I refused to fall into that trap. PY to stay positive! SL

i was driving by and i saw an homeless person and i pushed myself to give money and i really felt good about it.

It was so beautiful out the other day so instead of driving to a friend's house I RAN the 3 miles. It felt great and I pushed myself to not walk at all. PY!

Nice post about helping out with the road side car. I went to heated yoga today, met my mom for lunch and then spent all day running errands with my GF. I'll tell you what; yoga was easier than the errands. PY to work out and be with loved ones. PitS

On my way to church there was a car pulled off the road with hazards on. I stopped to see if everything was OK (not that I know anything about cars, but I thought I could help) the women was crying, seemed frustrated and stressed. I helped her out and she got back on the road. As I left, she said "God Bless". Love it. TimT

Up early to the gym and I RAN, that is so pushing myself. I haven't run in months! SO motivated that I lifted after. Than signed up for a yoga class tomorrow morning. Feeling good, and pushing myself. Swiss miss

Why would you just walk by the plastic water bottles littering the parking lot of your work? I have pushed myself to do so. Doing my best to play my part.

What should I post?


Changing the world may seem like a daunting task. However, every one doing a little good = a lot of good. Remember: Push Yourself is the act of stepping outside of your comfort zone to stir and cultivate a movement that changes the world.

"So, what can I post about? How can I make a difference?"

It can be as simple as picking up some trash on your way into the store or work. Here are some examples of simple to extreme posts in each of the Four Push Yourself Pillars. You can post simple to extreme and everything in between. Every positive action is post-worthy and every post holds others accountable.
